Hi! I'm Nitya, the founder of Bookish Beginning :)

An avid reader from a young age, I've set out on a journey to help others discover the magic of books. Through my initiative, I aim to address systematic inequalities that deny children access to the transformative power of literature. By donating books, we're providing access to more than reading material, we're opening countless doors to imagination and knowledge. Together, we can make a difference, one page at a time.

Hi, I’m Kiara, the founder of the San Diego Regional Chapter of Bookish Begining. A born bookaholic, I’ve fostered a love for learning and reading. As technology becomes a more prevalent toy in modern childhood, my aim is to reignite a person’s love for the magic within the pages. Through donations and fundraising, we focus on making these bundles of imagination more available, regardless of someone's economic status. In collaboration with other chapters and non-profits, we work to create more culturally diverse book selection in schools and communities. Anyone can read, and at Bookish Beginnings, we strive to help each person along the way.

Hi, I’m Dimithra, founder of the Houston chapter of Bookish Beginning. I believe that books have an unparalleled capacity to transform our lives, change our perspectives, broaden our shared experiences. In my personal experience, books have served as vessels to the way I think, develop depth of character and spark some cool conversations with friends. However, it is not lost on me that this timeless gift is not available to all children. My fervent wish at Bookish Beginnings is to ensure that books are available to everyone, fostering a culture of curiosity and joy of reading in all communities, particularly in underfunded schools. Let the endless adventure begin with books!

I am Arshia Arora, the founder of the St. Louis regional chapter of Bookish Beginning.

I have always loved reading books. Reading books sparks our imagination. It enhances creativity by presenting different scenarios and ideas. I read books to my younger brother so he could develop the same love of books. Just like that, I wanted books to be more available to more kids so they can love reading as well.
